1) Assist to Pin Press – If user stalls during lift, system will assist, lifting barbell to 3" above the sticking point. Continue with more partial reps until full exhaustion, then return to rack.
2) Assists to Negatives – Combines ‘Assist’ mode and ‘Negative’ mode. When user stalls, system assists to lift barbell to top of rep. Then, if the user is supporting the bar, the system lowers the support and negative reps begin. This mode really burns the muscles.
3) VBT VL20% - Velocity Based Training with a 20% velocity loss threshold. Lift explosively. Stop at chime when bar speed has decreased 20% from first rep.
4) Negatives – Using heavier than usual weights, slowly lower barbell. System will lift weight to top. User holds weight at top as system lowers support 5” to check if the user is engaged. If engaged, the support lowers to the bottom and user slowly lowers barbell. System then lifts the barbell and cycle repeats. User may stop by placing the barbell on its rest at the top of a rep.
5) Free Mode - Provides all the diagnostics and output metrics, but no assistance is given.
Under Development
Accentuated Eccentric Loading - pump out a set with 10-50% more load during the negative phase than in the positive phase of each rep. Note: hoist assistance only on incremental weight, not total weight.
Cluster - Guides the user to perform 1-5 reps per cluster, with a short, timed rest period (15-30 seconds) in between.
Trial - Reserved for future mode development
Bands - Add elastic band between hoist hook and bar, that gives 30-50lbs of assist at the bottom of lift. Can be coupled with any of the above modes. Helpful to move through lift sticking points.
