Modes

Power Assist Modes

1) Pyramids – After 1st rep, range of motion continues to decrease in steps, then range of motion increases stepwise back to full range of motion. Just keep lifting throughout. Good for warm up.

2) Assists – If user stalls during lift, system will assist, lifting barbell to 3" above the sticking point.  Continue with more partial reps until full exhaustion, then return to rack.

3) Burns – Similar to ‘Assists’, but after stall and assist to just above the sticking point, range of motion decreases in steps.  Continue with partial reps until exhaustion then return to rack.

4) Negatives – Using heavier than usual weights, slowly lower barbell.  System will lift weight to top.  User holds weight at top as system lowers support 5” to check if the user is engaged.  If engaged, the support lowers to the bottom and user slowly lowers barbell.  System then lifts the barbell and cycle repeats. User may stop by placing the barbell on its rest at the top of a rep.

5) Assists to Negatives – Combines ‘Assist’ mode and ‘Negative’ mode. When user stalls, system assists to lift barbell to top of rep. Then, if the user is supporting the bar, the system lowers the support and negative reps begin.  This mode really burns the muscles.

6) Blocks – This mode simulates placing a block on the chest in a bench press to limit the range of motion on the lower end. Useful for pushing through plateaus and can be used in all exercises.  Assist feature is still active in this mode.

7) Bands - Add elastic band between hoist hook and bar, that gives 30-50lbs of assist at the bottom of lift. Can be coupled with any of the above six modes.  Helpful to move through lift sticking points.
